How I Pursue My Ideas
-
A comfortable and inspiring work environment is a staple for me when I start any project. It is important that I surround myself with good energy in any room that I work in. Through this, I find that I am able to think clearer and I am able to work more efficiently and effectively. Not only is the area essential but the people I surround myself with are too. I find that I work better when I am around like minded individuals who have a creative spark as it encourages me to put my best self forward.
-
Once I become settled, I begin pursuing new ideas. I explore every thought I have from the good to the bad. In fact, I have found that some of my most insane ideas turn out to be the best ideas I have in the end. Throughout my ideation process, I dive into research, determining my target audience, competition, insights, and more. From there, I take my pen to paper, sketching out ideas from logos to names and beyond.
-
After I have stirred up new ideas and concepts, I seek out conversations with my peers in order to bounce my ideas off of others for feedback. It is important to me that I share my ideas with others in order to get an outside perspective. Critique is the main driving point that pushes my ideas to the next level.
-
After discussing with my peers, I take the feedback that I have acquired and I rework my designs and concepts. I go back to my research and sketches, curating new ideations based on the advice I receive.
-
After trying new things and having deeper conversations, I confidently make a decision. Whether that is finalizing a distinct color palette, a logo, a font, a name, or something else relating to the project I am working on at hand.
-
Once I have finally made all of my design and conceptual decisions, I bring my ideas to life through building my projects by hand or digitally rendering them. Overall, my process allows for deep exploration and opens the door to exemplary design.
